Hey there beautiful subbies 🙂 Sorry for the lack of posts! Art Becomes You is going through a transitional period
I have been off blogging for weeks now but Style Diary is back to put everything ack on track. Today’s fashionista hails from Haiti.
My name is Klerlie Raymond. I am 100% Haitian, raised my whole life in Miami, Fl. I love to shop; I love thrifting, reading, blogging and anything that involves a margarita or a glass of wine.
-My dressing style is very vintage. Most of my clothes and very unique pieces come from thrift stores. I also shop in stores like Forever 21 and H&M for common pieces such as jeans, camis, etc. My style influences are bohemian chic and vintage.
-Favourite designer is…Balmain!!! His current line is amazing. The whites, crèmes, and leathers …
Style Diary opens this week with a fierce modelesque fashionista all the way from Cali. Here’s what she has to say about her style.
My name is Shakira and I’m an aspiring model and student from California. I love to hangout with friends and take lots of pictures. Right now I’m working at Macy’s(horrible place to work at) and trying to accomplish my goals to get my bacholar degree is Psychology and some how break into modeling.
My style is mostly is a combination of being a tomboy but also girly at the same time. I used to be a tshirt and jeans kind of girl but now I’m experimenting with skirts and dresses. I’m mostly influenced by street style. In today’s modern age, I’ve noticed it’s okay to dress with random …
We’re going exotic today with our Style Diary. Meet T’wana from the Caribbean.
My name is T’wana Skelton, I’m originally from a small Caribbean island called Tortola located in the British Virgin Islands but I live in Orlando, FL. Most of my free time is spent consuming anything fashion related. This is why I started my blog. I love attending fashion shows and events (big or small it really doesn’t matter). My ultimate goal would be to one day attend Mercedes Benz Fashion week in NY and be able to write about it. When I’m not scouring the net and stocking up on fashion magazines, I’m cozying up with my Nook color to catch up on my reading. I also love to write (my degree is in Journalism) and sing to the top of my lungs until my hun says I’m driving him crazy…. LOL. Then …
Happy Monday fashion lovers! First off I’d like to say thanks a bunch to all the readers. You’re far too kind. I’m amazed at the feedback. Thank you very much. Every single comment or feedback in any form is appreciated by me. Thank you for giving me the drive to keep this blog alive.
How was the closing ceremony weekend for everyone? I don’t know about you, but the whole ceremony just made me feel a little homesick. I am one of those people who love it when there’s something on TV that the whole world is hyping about. I’ll just generally miss the hype. Well, now that it’s over I guess we can look forward to the Paralympics and for the more dedicated TV watchers amongst us, Celebrity Big Brother. Hahaha, can’t wait. I do love a good grind.
For my outfit of the day , I decided to take …
This week is going to be a busy Style Diary week! yes, I’ve been archiving the most interesting stats and facts from some of our favourite bloggers. Let us start the week with our very exotic and stunning stylist Eteclea. I first stumbled across her on Lookbook.nu and decided I just had to feature her on Style Diary. Here’s what she had to say.
A little bio stats
I’m 24. I was born and raised in the Philippines but immigrated here in the states when I was in college. I graduated College with 3 degrees and Latin honors. Although I took the science and management during my college days, my heart has always belonged to fashion and styling. My hobbies: arts and crafts like making some of my own clothes, painting/drawing, and photography.
What is your dressing style?
My style? really depends on what …
Every time Beyonce shares some of her personal pics on Tumblr, I get excited. I kind of look forward to them not just because she’s King Queen B, but because I can’t help but notice that her shots have a kind of artistic touch to them. She seems to have a good eye for photography which I am jealous to admit she can to her list of talents, as if they weren’t too many already. To Bey I say, keep putting them beautiful pics up. I’ll always be here to here to repost and reblog.

Here are a few of my favourites.
Several designers showcased at the African Fashion Week New York (AFWNY) . A few of them were proudly Cameroonian. I cannot express enough how proud these girls are making me feel right now. One that stood out especially was the Mesanga Fashion House by designer Mesanga Sama.
This was her first real real runway showcase and I must say I loved every piece that came strutting down that runway. Gave me chills. It feels good and exhilarating when someone you know personally follows their passion, works hard to achieve their dream and finally triumph. I probably say this a lot but diligence, hard work and faith do pay off.
Mesanga rocking one of her own designs.
About the collection.
This collection is called ‘Liwato La Merzono.’ And Mesanga explains that:
“Essentially liwato la merzono means garment of colour in my native tongue Bakweri and that is what I …
