OOTD: Poppin’ Off in Poplin

By Posted on 0 457

Been feeling all-white outfits lately. They make me feel like I got my shit together. And for some reason, all white looks always look more expensive than they actually are! Also, Spring has officially sprung and it was 20 degrees when we took these pictures on the Easter Bank Holiday. This is one of my favourite dresses, I’ve had it since 2017 but never worn it because there just was never the right occasion.

Pretty Pleats

Guess what is making a great comeback in the world of fashion? Yes you guessed right…or not. Either way, pleats are back. yes you heard right. Pleats. P.L.E.A.T.S. Long flowy pleats, mini pleats, colourful pleats, grandma pleats, maxi pleats, colour block pleats, runway pleats and whatever pleat style you can possibly think of. I don’t know about you but pleats for me have not always brought pleasant memories. In fact when I think of pleats, I think of my long gone secondary school days where plain white long sleeved shirts knotted with bow ties and tucked into huge black pleated skirts formed part of the Sunday morning attire which we had to wear. In fact that attire was considered a humiliating get up cooked up by those in power to embarrass the junior graders…Judging from the way I loathed that outfit back then, if asked I would …

So So Style

Solange Piaget Knowles proved that she wasn’t just ‘Beyonce’s younger sister’ when she took the the world by storm with her unique tunes and her album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams in 2008  peaked at number nine in the US Billboard 200 chart. Solange, ever since has proven that she is not merely a force to be reckoned with but she is also one to make huge statements (fashion statements at that). Solange style can only be described as unique and artistic. She will wear trends that others fear to wear, and morph with each drastic hair change to another as if it was no man’s business. I am seriously inspired by her style and i was not the only one to take note of how such a style icon she is.  She is one of the faces of …
