Hiya ABYers! If you’ve been a frequent flyer with us, you’ll notice I’ve been introducing new segments and features. Last week I served you with Throwback Thursdays and Selfie Fridays. And judging from my stat-o-metre, y’all digged it. Thanks a bunch!
I’m taking off this week with yet another newbie. More of a reintroduction. I used to do a lot of ‘What To Wear’ & ‘How To Wear’ and I’ve just neglected them for some reason. I’m bringing back this feature because not only does it inspire when I’m stuck for what to wear but it’s also a way of responding to a few outfit emails and request I get. Okey dokey.

Let’s begin with ‘What To Wear To A Wedding. ‘ This is a popular one. Many people get invites to wedding events and are not very sure on what outfit to put together. Here’s four outfit ideas that will make you stand out.
Bold ‘n Bright: This look is bold, sassy, exciting and colourful. Opt for a sunflower yellow dress and set it off with a pair of sexy strappy blue leather sandals. Keep the bright colour theme going with a muted berry for both lips and nails. Accessorize with a clutch of your choice but I like the way this satin bow clutch sits nicely on this ensemble.
Mink Monotone: Make a statement by keeping it simple in an all mink/cream ensemble. This collection is so Kerry Washington. I see her (or her stylist) putting this together. The Valentino Rock Stud Pumps are my favourite shoes at the moment so I couldn’t resist using them on this collage. All in all, this look is minimal yet very sophisticated especially for those fashion lovers who like to keep it simple.
Pants (In Charge): This look is very versatile because I can see myself wearing this to so many different events. Everyone will be wearing a dress to the wedding but why should you? Opt for well-tailored trousers paired with a plaid peplum top. There’s no slouching with this one love. Stand straight and be in charge in a pair of popping purple court shoes and a classic leather bag. Finish with vampy makeup and a manicure. Add a pair of dark sunnies for good measure (not pictured). I’ve also added in apair of comfy flats for when you need a break from those killer Casadei’s.
Classic Print: Wear a classic print dress and add a belt to cinch in the waist. This dress is already a little formal so I’ve added character to this look with Mustard Yellow Satin Heels from Zara. Keep hair and makeup soft, simple and girl. And off you go!
And there you have it! My 4 wedding outfit ideas. Which outfit do you see yourself rocking?
