Grateful for health and laughter 🤍 #StaySafe #HappyNewWeek

My first session dispelled a lot of misconceptions I’ve always had about laser treatments. ⁣⁣1. It can definitely be done on dark skin. ⁣2. You can still get your bikini area (full Hollywood 😜) done on your period as long as you are comfortable 🙌🏾👌🏾 ⁣⁣What a weight off my shower routine this has been especially as my regrowth is normally super quick. Have you ever had laser treatment? #ad #gifted #laserhairremoval

There’s always a lot of different products being inboxed, advertised and shown in tutorials. But what are you actually using through and through? These are products I use on the regular and would definitely repurchase because they’re all so good!👌🏾 More empties on my stories (this is limited to 10 unfortunately) and all links to products are on my blog (link in bio). Let me know if you want to see more content like this regularly. What are your empties?? I love to know what everyone’s loving 🥰😍😍 xx .#SelfCareSunday #SkincareEmpties #beautyempties

Seven Superfoods for a Healthy Lifestyle

By Posted on 1 Comment 57 views

Do you need to lose a few pounds? Are you feeling tired all the time, with next to no energy left at the end of the day? Then the chances are that your diet is terrible. By making a few changes to what you eat, you can expect to see a massive difference in your quality of life.

The Benefits of Eating Healthy

Your body is your temple and keeping it in shape with exercise is only half the battle. The other half is done in the kitchen. You are what you eat and if you diet is filled with refined carbohydrates and trans-saturated fatty acids, then you can expect your body to produce a negative response.

By eating healthy, you will have better levels of vitality and improved levels of mood throughout the day. You will no longer suffer from the mid-afternoon sugar crash and the excess body fat will melt right off your body. When incorporated into an exercise program like CrossFit, a healthy eating program can literally change who you are, just look at these CrossFit body transformation for men for examples of what is possible with the right diet, the right training, and the right mindset.

Ten Superfoods for your Diet

So, where do you start? Finding the right food sources that are healthy and nutritious is a priority. Here are seven superfoods that everyone should include in their diet for better health.

#1 Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

EVOO is rich in antioxidants and healthy fats. Two tablespoons of this miracle superfood are all it takes to reap its astounding health advantages. EVOO has been proven to reduce cholesterol and improve heart health. Splash it on salads, slather it on a salmon steak or add it to a smoothie in the morning.

#2 Avocados

Avocados are nature’s fatty superfruit. With 160 calories per 100grams of avocado, this fruit provides a slow-burning energy source that lowers inflammation in the GI tract. They are packed with phytosterol antioxidants that clear the body of free-radicals. Avocados are high in monounsaturated fats and taste great on salads, or smashed up into guacamole and smeared on toast.

#3 Fatty Fish

Salmon, sardines, tuna, and mackerel are all examples of fatty fishes that belong in your diet. Fatty fishes are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA. These two compounds have been shown to accelerate fat loss and improve cognitive function.

#4 Wholegrains & Sprouts

Replace the refined carbs in your diet with natural sprouts and grains. Inflammation in the gut is caused by consumption of refined grain products such as flour and sugar. When they are ingested, the GI tract becomes inflamed and assimilation of the nutrients from your food is impaired. By only eating whole grain products, you can lower the inflammation and benefit from improved assimilation and better metabolic function.

#5 Full-Fat Greek Yogurt

Who says fat is bad for you? This old saying has been proven completely false, in fact, fat is our preferred source of energy. Full-Fat Greek Yogurt is rich in calories and nutrients, as well as probiotic bacteria.

These probiotics assist your gut bacteria in breaking down your food and absorbing the nutrients into your system. Eating a cup of Greek yogurt before a meal will improve your body’s digestive process and get the most out of your food.

#6 Nuts & Nut Butter

Nuts are loaded with healthy fats and nutrients. Nut butter is available in a wide variety of choices. Almond, macadamia, and cashew butter are all examples of nut butter with healthy benefits. All you need to do is smear it on some whole grain toast, or it even tastes great straight off of the spoon.

 #7 Leafy Green Vegetables

Fibre is important in your diet. Fibre keeps things moving and sweeps out your GI tract of any excess waste that should be hanging around. Getting 25 to 50 grams of fibre a day is easy, all you need to do is start eating leafy green veggies like spinach and kale. These powerful greens restore the health of the GI tract and provide a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals as well.

You Are What You Eat

You are what you eat, this old saying has a lot of truth to it. Make the changes you need to in your diet and benefit from a healthy lifestyle that promotes clean living and longevity.
