Red Carpet Review: 48th NAACP Image Awards

I’m getting ready to gawk at the 2017 Grammy Awards red carpet. In the meantime, I’m loving all the pre-Grammy parties and other film awards. The more merrier 🙂 The NAACP Image Awards went down last night and some of our favourite faces came out in full force.

Who were your faves?

How stunning is Grace Gealey?! Coupled up with beau Trai Byers, she donned one of my favourite looks of the evening. That low neck teal green against her skin tone looks gorgeous. And I’m digging the matching strappy heels and the smokey eye makeup. Hot!

Taraji P Henson is bae. That is all. She worked that Alexander Wang gown like no man’s business.

Serayah wore a nightie inspired red cami gown. She’s pretty.

Niecy Nash flaunted her curves in a Herve Leger cut out jumpsuit. Slay Niecy!! Love her on Scream Queens.

Janelle Monae delivered in an Ashi Studio show-stopping gown.

Teyonah Parris is a naturalista queen and she looked utterly flawless.

Omarosa Manigault looked well stunning in a strapless bustier black gown. I had to do a double-take. Couldn’t believe my eyes. Ha!

Lil Mama was looking all pretty and fresh-faced in a feather embellished fleshtone dress.

Tasha Smith looked sassy in a not-so-ordinary black and white ensemble. I loved how she kept her look fresh with a crop top and frill trousers.

Chloe and Halle bailey are so adorable. Loved their bold ensemble.

Yara Shahidi is such a gorgeous girl. She channelled ‘prairie couture’ in a Blumarine dress. Love that she’s young and experiments with so many different styles.

You know Laverne Cox loves to bring it. She looked flawless in a Marc Bouwer gown with embellished pockets. Her makeup was faultless.

I’m always here for Andra Day’s quirkiness. loved her blue striped ensemble.

Tika Sumpter looked stunning in a Solace London jumpsuit.

Letoya Luckett is absolutely stunning. I think she could do better than the simple lace fishtail gown she wore. Too plain. Her face stayed above water though. Fierce!

Naturi Naughton wore a black lace tiered gown. Wish her lipstick added some colour to this look.

Tah’Rhonda Jones wore a one-shoulder sequin bordeaux dress with lips to match. Sultry.

Loved Denise Boutte’s printed showstopper gown.

Nicole Murphy looked stunning.
