Hiatus over! After a few weeks of sickness and withdrawal amongst other things, I am ready to revive this blog.
Seems like nothing much has happened since my hibernation. Apart from Queen Bey keeping me woke with Lemonade of course. Lawd. I remember waking up that blessed Sunday morning and I had this feeling that SOMETHING had dropped. I felt it. Whew.
The Met Gala also happened last night. From what what social media has been feeding my wall this morning, the red carpet looked mediocre at best. Urgh. It’s the Met Gala. I was just waiting for drama, avant-garde realness and Rihanna. Like how many times is Kylie Jenner gonna wear a sheer heavily embellished dress? Lady Gaga looked like a parody of herself, I couldn’t even deal. And I’m sure Selena Gomez didn’t get the memo coz she looked a right mess. Rita Ora we’ve seen your dress on J.Lo in different shapes and sizes SEVERAL TIMES. And didn’t Solange Knowles wear something pleated that looked like it was inspired by a hand fan last year too?
When Rihanna didn’t show up, I was like at least Miley will serve up SOMETHING interesting. But nah. She stayed at home and ordered a takeaway too. Damn these bitches be playing with my heart.
While the celebs serve up Balmain and Givenchy, I stay delivering Missguided and ASOS realness in today’s look. Shot this a while back but my blog finally reached it’s storage limit! WordPress was like, you owe us £200 before you can get back to uploading these damn blog posts….Chile… That had me wondering hard if it was all worth it.
I finally decided if I was going to upgrade and renew my blog, I’d better be consistent and maintain a regular posting schedule. So here’s to making the most of that investment!
Happy new month of May. It’s my birthday month too so I pray it’ll be doubly good. See y’all on Friday with a brand new post 🙂
