Continuing with the theme from my last Outfit Of The Day of repping for Camer talent, I present Mesanga Fashion House.
Some weeks ago, the talented and lovely Cameroonian designer Yve Mesanga sent me over this beautiful jacket in one of my favourite colours; blue. You have read about MFH before in my previous post on the African Fashion Week New York runway show where they slayed a few months back. I’ve been more than excited to wear this blazer as it’s so rare to find African designs anywhere in Birmingham.
I finally got the chance to showcase this amazing blazer. I opted for all white, so I let the bright blazer be the showstopper of the outfit. This MFH piece boasts a rouched shoulder detail, two pockets in contrasting African print and its lapels are lined with the same fabric. It’s such a great piece to own because there’s so many ways to wear it. I already know what I’m gonna wear this with next 🙂 If you like what you see, there’s much more exclusively on the Mesanga Fashion House site.
On a totally unrelated note: As I was taking pictures for this blog post, guess who sashayed by on a quiet Sunday afternoon almost unnoticed by me; Omotola Jalade aka Omosexy herself!
I almost didn’t recognize her because she looked super casual and relaxed. And then I was like, hold up, it’s Omotola! I asked her for a picture but she took one look at my camera and said; “Hey, it’s a professional camera. Chei, I’m not dressed up now. But I’ll give you a hug though.”:( My mom’s going to be so jealous. #ihuggedyourphave. Mwahahaha!
That made my Sunday. What made yours?
If you love colours, mixing African print and new trends in a chic and unique way, you’ll fall in love with Yve’s desings.
