It’s dress season, well it’s ALWAYS dress season in my opinion but summer always takes things up a few notches. This post is sponsored by Simply Be and they’ve been kind enough to let me style some of my top picks from their new dress collection and I had the best time doing it. I really enjoy working with Simply Be. They are an authentically inclusive brand who allow women of different shapes and sizes celebrate and flaunt their bodies in clothing that was made for curves. In this blog post, I’m showing how I style some of my favourite dresses from @simplybeuk and why I love the pieces I picked.
Simply Be not only offers the perfect dress for every occasion, but it is also a one-stop shop for a complete outfit from shoes, accessories, handbags and shapewear & lingerie. They also stock other popular high street brands and their sizes range from 10-32. So I was well spoilt for choice. I’ll list the sizes I’m wearing for every item for reference.
1. Maxi Dress
Maxi dresses are every girl’s best friend. They combine two qualities which you don’t get too often when it comes to clothing: comfortable and sexy. This Joanna Hope Jacquard Swing Maxi Dress is everything. It has wedding reception written all over it. Or a nice evening out with the girls. It glows beautifully and moves amazingly, I felt like a total goddess in it. You just know you don’t have to worry about that food baby later when you’re wearing a maxi dress. Because this dress is such a statement, I didn’t have to do much. I simply threw on a pearl and shell choker necklace and minimal heels, et voila!
2. Little Black Dress
What is more iconic than the quintessential little black dress? Absolutely nothing! There’s a reason why the little black dress has gone down in history as the most wearable piece of clothing. It works for all occasions. It’s the perfect dress-tintation! This particular LBD is the Broderie Long Sleeve Swing Dress and it works for hot summer days because of the broderie fabric which makes it very breathable and breezy. I absolutely love it. It’s such a transitional piece as well. I could easily wear this in autumn with a cute pair of booties and it would work. You could never go wrong with an LBD.
3. Midi Dress
Midi dresses take me to my comfort zone. They are the most flattering for my body shape so I always gear towards them. I’m very excited to be adding this to my constantly growing midi dress collection. The thing I love the most about this Neon Rose Paperbag Square Neck Midi Dress With Belt Detail is that it has 3 of my favourite things in a dress: it is belted, has a paper bag waist and square neckline. What more could I ask for? Love it!
4. Dungaree Dress
Dungarees to me say, too cool for school. Like when I bring out my dungarees I’m saying I feel cool as ice, ya feel me? ? Dungarees are also very versatile as you can play around with layering them. They’re a must-have dress for every wardrobe. This Vintage Blue Stretch Denim Dungaree Dress is so well made! The denim is top quality and looks amazing on. I dressed mine up with a pair of platform heels and a mesh black top for an afternoon brunch out on the town with my girl squad. This is my cocktail sipping dress-tination essentially.? And let me tell you, this dress fits like a glove in all the right places. It’s such a great denim dungaree dress. Actually the best I’ve ever had.
What are you too dress-tinations? What are your go to styles? Which looks are you loving? Let us know in the comments!
