By Let’s just pretend I’ve not been away for a long period, skip the apologies and get into this. Now I’m proudly Cameroonian, and it came to my notice that there were a lot of young talented and innovative Cameroonians out there that were not getting as much credit as they deserve. I started this column to showcase their work and encourage other people who are thinking of doing a similar thing but have never had the encouragement to do so.

Our first Camer feature is none other than the well-known Sama Ndango of The Sama Ndango Show aka Mr Fix It. I had a few queries for him and here’s what he had to say.
ABY: Who is Sama Ndango?
I am an entertainer / Life Coach from Cameroon, and spent most of my life in Europe(Germany, Manchester, London)
ABY: What is The Sama Ndango Show/Fix It Show? What do you fix?
Fix it is all about entertaining and inspiring people to believe in themselves and live their dreams. I help people fix their dreams.
All the shows(Fixit Show, Modelling Competitions, Talent Shows, Fashion shows etc..) that I organise, are centered around inspiration and entertainment
ABY: How did you break into the entertainment industry?
I worked very very hard on my self believe, took a lot of action in serving my role models. I also did a lot of unpaid work.
Success is a result of a lot of self-believe and service.
Breaking through was a result of continuous action on what I am very passionate about.
ABY: What challenges did/do you face?
Challenges:
Believing in your self is the first challenge
Your family and friends, will protectively, try to stop you from your endeavors
There are lots of challenges, but BELIEVING IN YOURSELF is the biggest.
ABY: Have you always loved to party?
Yes Yes Yes..lol..having fun, is the highest form of research (Quote from Albert Einstein).
ABY: I just might be taking that quote too serious as from now on haha! What projects have you done?
I have done too many projects, cannot even remember some. lol..

ABY: Wow quite the list. What plans have you got up you sleeves for the future?
I am currently working on a mind programming software which we are using to help people fix the dreams, and bring their lives in order.
I am working on a couple of short movies, that I will be featuring in this year.
I am working on my Fixit Clothing line, to be launched by end of this year.

ABY: Whooo, a clothing line! Speaking of that, fashion seems to play a great role in your persona. How would you describe your style?
Sexy and dandy. I love colours and wear what I feel really comfortable with.
ABY: Your Top 5 wardrobe essentials are:
1. Slim Fit T-shirts, fits most outfits and keeps you comfortable
2. Trendy belts with same coloured loafers, fits with jeans or casual pants, very eye catching and comfortable
3. Slim fit blazers, the slimmer, the better. the more it fits, the more it feels good and is attractive
4. Colourful accessories for the details…its amazing, how a bow-tie can change everything
5. Beige or black body fitted overcoats are a must, If you are in an area with cold weather.
ABY: Spoken like a true fashionista. What do you seek to achieve from your work?
To inspire peope, to believe in themselves and go for their dreams.
ABY: For hopefuls looking to break into entertainment what must they be prepared for?
They should try to work with a mentor and do a lot of unpaid work, to gain experience. You will only know, what you really desire to do, after trying a lot.
