Hey there lovely people! I get a lot of beauty queries and most of the time I do answer them by doing a lot of online research and using pictures from tutorials by other make up artists because unfortunately I am no makeup guru. But my sister is! I have been channelling all your beauty queries to this gorgeous lady and she’ll be providing some hot tutorials for us. Yay! This might be a weekly feature depending on how this goes. So I asked Sandra of Bihyouty to serve us a handful of ‘Holiday Perfect’ lipsticks as we are fast approaching the festive season. There will be loads of parties, nights outs, bithdays, engagements etc to attend. These 7 lippies should work well from any day to night time events. Let’s see which lip colours were on Bihyouty’s Holiday Must Have List:
*For UK readers, a lot of UK bloggers and YouTubers get their American makeup from beautyjoint.com
This Bordeaux red matte lip cover is the perfect romantic shade for the holidays. It is a very rich hue and would work from a daytime to a night time look easily. If you are looking for a slightly darker lipstick but still want to have that pop effect this sugar plum fairy goodness is your best bet!
This 4-hour, long-wearing lip colour leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke and comes in a hot cherry pink shade. Glides on easily with rich, velvety colour that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed. This colour is creamy and extremely pigmented. Pink goes all the way to Yesssland! on dark skin and this semi-matte lipstick is a great colour. A one stop colour to brighten any look if you need that extra pop of colour.
A gorgeous chocolate brown neutral lipstick perfect for everyday wear. It is a matte lipstick and lasts quite long. This mocha lipstick would complement a lot of skin tones and would work perfectly especially if you are looking for a lipstick that is not overpowering and works well for work and minimal makeup looks. I adore the finish of this lipstick!
Everyone loves a great purple lippy and Ravin’ Raisin is one of them. It’s in a daring purple yet it’s subtle enough to wear with most ensembles. This could uplift a lot of monochrome or all white looks. It’s not as pigmented as the Wet N Wild lipsticks so reapply a few to achieve your required burst of colour 😉
A mauve pink colour with peachy undertones. Unexpectedly cute! Gives you a nude neutral finish but with more pigmentation and a rosy blush pink finish. Every lipstick junkie should stock on these for when you’re in the mood for a baby pink pout 😉
6. Cinnamon Spice WET N WILD Mega Last Matte Lip Cover
A red lipstick with brown undertones. This is a gorgeous lip colour! If you are not in the mood for a bright post box red colour but still wnat to rock some rouge, this is the perfect shade for you.
A long-wearing matte velvety lipstick in this beautiful plum eggplant colour. Another favourite of mine. If you are into wine coloured, deep reds and dark purples this eggplant lipstick should be on your makeup table. It’s divine!
Which shades are you head over heels for? I am loving all of these mother puckers! But Cherry Picking, Cinnamon Spice & Sugar Plum Fairy need to be resting in my drawer ASAP 😉
